Cunningham Lindsey has selected Serco Solutions to roll out a remote working solution for its field based staff. The project will provide a secure access facility enabling staff to process confidential insurance claim data using applications previously only available whilst in the office, from the convenience of their own home.
The system, which uses state of the art security tokens, enables staff to login securely by providing an authentication number which changes every two minutes. The company will use the solution to provide flexible and secure ways of working for its staff.
Before the company used remote dial up and had no secure way of accessing confidential claims information. It is envisaged the new system will save 100,000ís in dial up lines and recruitment costs by enabling staff to work from home and reduce the pressure on office space.
For example, Roy Shevlin, has recently been promoted to the position of Regional Specialist Adjusting Network Director. He is now responsible for coordinating claims in excess of 150,000 out of six offices. The remote working system has enabled Roy to accept the promotion because without it, he would have experienced a four hour round journey trip to the nearest large claims office.

Serco Solutions will host the secure access facility and support Cunningham Lindseyís ICT infrastructure. It already provides 24/7 support for the business critical systems used in claims processing.
