A specialist contractor accountancy firm has entered into a business partnership with The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).
Brookson, whose clients include contractors and freelancers from sectors such as engineering, IT, creative and media, has been chosen by the organisation because of its specialist knowledge of the recruitment industry and its professional code of conduct.
The company is the only representative from the accountancy sector who specialises in limited company accountancy services and will offer the REC’s 3,760 corporate members advice on tax and accountancy related queries.
Brookson’s focus will be to ensure the recruitment industry understands the needs of contractors and freelancers. It will also work with the REC to highlight the value the flexible workforce brings to the economy.
Martin Hesketh, managing director at Brookson, said:
“Being chosen as an REC business partner fits perfectly with our strategic aspirations. The REC is a great organisation which does a fantastic job in representing the UK’s recruitment and staffing industry.
“Our focus will be to share the expert knowledge we have of the freelance and contractor sector with the recruitment industry to ensure they understand our customers’ needs. We also hope to work closely with the REC in championing standards in the recruitment sector and support its work in lobbying to the Government the importance of the flexible workforce.
“We are looking forward to working closely with the REC team and its members.”
Anita Holbrow, the REC’s Director of Member Services, added:
“We are thrilled to have Brookson on board within our hand-picked portfolio of suppliers. It is important to us to have strong relationships with companies who are able to offer our members specialist services which can add tangible value to their businesses.”
