Increasing the level of engagement among Members and improving the lines of communication between Members and the committee will be key priorities for the Recruitment and Consulting Services Associationís (RCSA) Western Australian Region President, Gary Carpenter MRCSA, over the next year.
Mr Carpenter said he intends to build on the foundations laid down in 2006 and create more opportunities for Members to interact with each other and for the committee to interact with Members.
ìA key focus for next year will be to ensure RCSA Members receive relevant information to the industry, such as an update on 457 Visas, or any amendments to the industrial relations legislation, as quickly and effectively as possible,î Mr Carpenter said.
ìRecruiters can expect to see a regular pipeline of informative breakfasts and forums set to take place throughout 2007 as a means of keeping up to date with whatís happening in the industry. But itís also as a great way to network, share experiences and keep the channels of communication open in both directions,î he said.
Mr Carpenter said the Associationís recent success in establishing Special Interest Groups among the Membership has allowed the committee to listen to the needs of Members and the challenges faced by recruiters who specialise in different areas.
ìIn establishing Special Interest Groups on topics such as: industrial relations, occupational health and safety, immigration, white-collar recruitment, and more recently, nursing and consulting to small business, weíve been able to tap into the needs of Members more effectively, by remaining relevant and responsive,î Mr Carpenter said.
ìWe look forward to a refreshing 2007 with the appointment of three new Council Members having joined us this September, and to maintaining our influence and profile with business and government,î he said.
Communication key priority for 2007, says RCSA WA President
