Andy Lancaster, Head of Learning & Development at the CIPD, said: “In what are uncertain and complex times for many organisations, the clear focus at the moment is on organisational agility and L&D professionals are increasingly playing a key role in how organisations react and adapt to change. The programme for this year’s show reflects the changing nature of the L&D function and we’re proud to be partnering with the Open University, a leading organisation in providing flexible study and learning for students across all capabilities.”
Steve Hill, Commercial Director at the Open University, said: “We’re delighted to be joining the CIPD at their Learning & Development Show this year. The L&D agenda and the ways in which professionals learn are changing all the time, so it’s great to see all these advances being brought together into a single event. The programme is packed with insightful and considered topics, each chosen to represent the key areas of L&D. We look forward to discussing how to bridge skills gaps in order to drive competitive advantage with The Football League Trust and apprenticeship and talent programme specialists, PDS Group, during the conference, and to welcoming visitors to our stand at the exhibition.”
Running alongside the conference, the free L&D Show Exhibition gives conference delegates and visitors the chance to explore and assess hundreds of learning and development services and resources under one roof. Key suppliers will be covering the whole spectrum of L&D activity including organisation development, coaching, learning evaluation, leadership development and L&D technologies.
As well as on-stand activities, launches and previews, the exhibition features a free programme of half-hour updates, providing further tips and insights from suppliers and the CIPD:
Topic Taster sessions will keep people up-to-date on key L&D issues.
The Technology for Learning Zone gives visitors a chance to hear about the latest developments in technology-enabled learning.
An interactive Learning Arena puts the spotlight on innovative learning techniques. A new feature this year is the Ignite Lab, covering L&D issues at the top of today’s business agenda. These lively five-minute presentations will see participants asking quick-fire questions to tap into cutting-edge ideas and developments.
