Clothing company Gap joined forces with agency aia to scoop the Grand Prix award at this yearís CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Developmentís (CIPD) annual awards, in partnership with the Guardian, promotes innovative recruitment marketing solutions and aims to raise standards across the industry.
This yearís awards included a revised ëBest Employer Brand Communicationsí category, which seeks to encourage an emphasis on brand awareness. This was awarded to Barclays who worked with their agency ThirtyThree. Robert Peasnell, Managing Director of Barkers and Chair of Judges, says:
ìCelebrating great communications is what this category is all about. The employer brand is a relatively new concept but as the entries have shown, there is some great work out there which gets across exactly whatís unique about the recruiting organisation.î
Other categories included the Diversity Award, which was presented to ITV and their agency and advertising. Dianah Worman OBE, CIPD Diversity Adviser, said, ìIn today’s competitive markets organisations cannot afford to ignore possible sources of competitive advantage. Diversity in the workplace is about being creative and opening doors to different people and new ideas. These awards help raise awareness and standards within the industry and offer a fantastic opportunity for employers efforts to be recognised.
