CIPD conference and exhibition to help employers recruit, retain and manage their talent

Annual Talent Management, Recruitment and Retention Conference 2007, Olympia, London, 19-21 June 2007

Organisations continue to face recruitment difficulties and major challenges in attracting and retaining talent, according to new research due to be launched at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Developmentís Annual Talent Management, Recruitment and Retention Conference 2007.

Nicola Monson, CIPD Adviser, says, ìMost employers recognise that organisational success is down to the knowledge and skills of committed employees. Given that competition for this talent is rife the ability to attract, retain and develop these individuals has never been more important.î

The CIPD conference will bring leading speakers and case study organisations together to discuss some of the key challenges facing people management and development professionals in recruiting, retaining and managing talent.

The conference will:

ï Identify the key drivers of employee engagement and the factors that make people stay with an organisation

ï Draw on the latest research to discuss the challenges employers face in recruiting, retaining and managing talent

ï Provide practical case studies from organisations such as Google, Virgin Atlantic, Royal Mail and JP Morgan

ï Offer advice and guidance on the latest legal requirements when recruiting

The introduction of a new recruitment exhibition, running alongside the conference, will provide a supplier perspective, enabling HR practitioners to explore different recruitment and retention tools and services.
