Leading technical recruitment firm, Fircroft, has reinforced its leading industry status by achieving a number of internationally certified management standards.

The standards will greatly help Fircroft meet its continuous growing client and market demands for health and safety, environmental and quality management excellence, as the company strives for greater global growth.

Ten of the company’s offices in Europe, USA and Australia now boast certification to the following international management standards:

  • ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management Systems
  • OHSAS: 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Systems
  • ISO:  14001 – Environment Management Systems

ISO 9001:2008 is a benchmark for companies to set goals and quality objectives that are aligned with customer requirements and show diligent processes for the measurement of product quality. In achieving OHSAS: 18001, Fircroft replicates the health and safety systems that are vital to both its clients and contractors in their respective fields; particularly important for major clients in the oil and gas sector. The same is true for the ISO: 4001 standard, as Fircroft’s oil and gas, and automotive manufacturing clients continually seek to improve environmental standards.

All staff in the ten selected offices have received extensive training and mentoring and this has greatly facilitated the implementation of the standards. Fircroft has utilised an Integrated Management System (IMS) to manage these processes. This approach more efficiently and effectively links the core elements of each of its health and safety, environment management and quality management systems and more importantly aligns its systems with their client and candidate needs.

Martin Fiddler, Quality Manager at Fircroft (UK), believes that achieving the additional international management certifications will be a huge bonus for Fircroft. He says: “We’re extremely proud of the commitment shown by all our staff in the seminars and workshops that we have been running since January and they will continue to be involved in the ongoing programme of training and development.

“Achieving these standards provides clients with confidence in our ability to support their ongoing needs. Our commitment to such excellent working practices will certainly help sustain and further drive growth over the coming years.”

Ian Goddard, Operations Director, adds: “In addition to the certification that we have achieved, we are looking at additional standards in other territories across the globe. This is part of our effort to continually invest in our staff and client service levels.”

The ten offices which received accreditation are: Warrington, Sale, Aberdeen, Billingham, London, Whitehaven, Crewe, Brisbane, Perth and Houston.
