Ceridian Centrefile helps Bevan Brittan gain value from outsourcing

Following the decision to outsource their payroll, law firm Bevan Brittan asked Ceridian Centrefile to assist them in reviewing their HR processes, to ensure alignment of HR delivery with overall business strategy.

The 500 employee payroll was previously operated in-house using Ceridian Centrefileís bureau processing service. With the payroll manager taking retirement, Bevan Brittan decided that they could save costs and add value to HR by moving to a fully managed payroll service. They commissioned Ceridian Centrefile to assist them in this HR transformation.

The first objective was to define their ideal HR administration model and engage the key stakeholders. The model was then broken down through a system of process mapping into people, processes and technology, to illustrate the new structure and identify the process changes required. A series of employee workshops helped to refine the process model and define responsibilities. This ensured a fast transition to the fully managed payroll service, enabling Bevan Brittanís HR team to work more efficiently and add greater value to the organisation.

Allan Allcock, Project Manager at Bevan Brittan, says:

ìCeridian Centrefile helped us define how we wanted our HR function to look and operate, then showed us how we could change our existing processes and systems to achieve that model. They also helped us effectively communicate these changes within our organisation.î

Larry Byrne, Director of Ceridian Managed Services, says:
ìThere are many business advantages to be gained from outsourcing. By investing in change management consultancy, as Bevan Brittan has done, the benefits can be achieved more efficiently and effectively.î
