CareerJunction has teamed up with The Times, Sunday Timesí new daily newspaper, to launch The Timesí Careers - an innovative partnership that sees thousands of CareerJunctionís online jobs seamlessly being published into the newspaper each day.
Hoosen Kolia, General Manager of Sunday Times, explains that the relationship between CareerJunction and The Times is indicative of the interactive nature of The Timesí newspaper ñ which integrates print and online elements throughout the publication. From 5 June, The Times will be delivered at no extra charge to subscribers who already receive the Sunday Times ñ about 120,000 of the country's higherñincome families.
ìRecruitment Agencies who subscribe to CareerJunction have the opportunity to get their jobs aggregated into The Timesí Careers according to the specific sector and level of the position,î explains Kris Jarzebowski, CEO of CareerJunction, SAís leading job and career management web service.
Each edition of The Times' Careers focuses on specific industry sectors and career levels to ensure that jobs are more targeted to the right candidates, says Jarzebowski. The job title, location, salary range and a job reference number will be published in the newspaper, while the website will load the full details of the job ad.
Kolia explains that this gives The Timesí readers the opportunity to scan through thousands of jobs in each edition, and then to go on to the CareerJunction or The Timesí website to view the full details of the job ad. This type of service ties the traditional and the digital worlds together offering a unique service to the readership.
The Timesí readers can easily locate the job they found in the newspaper, by searching using the job reference number on either the CareerJunction or The Timesí website, says Kolia.
ìOnce the reader has found the job they would like to apply for, they can read the full details of the ad online and apply to the job using their Resume4Life ñ a free online rsum that they can create on CareerJunction,î adds Jarzebowski.
Jarzebowski explains that print publications are changing and it is becoming increasingly important that they embrace the internet as a collaborative rather than a competitive medium. The Timesí Careers is at the forefront of this growing trend to integrate online and print, concludes Jarzebowski.
