CareerJournal.com announces diversity Job Fair

in New York and Executive Career seminar in Boston

CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's executive career site, has announced two events for those who are actively job hunting or simply trying to manage their careers more effectively.

CareerJournal.com is holding its first-ever executive job fair targeted to diversity candidates on April 8 in New York City. It will be held at the Embassy Suites-World Financial Center, 102 North End Ave. in lower Manhattan from noon to 6 p.m., and will feature companies that are seeking to interview candidates from diverse backgrounds who are looking for new executive, managerial and professional career opportunities. Admission is free.

On April 10 in Boston, CareerJournal.com is sponsoring a half-day executive career-strategy seminar that will focus on helping attendees work more effectively with executive recruiters, create a more powerful resume and excel in the corporate environment. The seminar, which will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Harvard Club on Commonwealth Avenue, will feature workshops from a top-flight faculty, including Tony Lee, editor in chief and general manager of CareerJournal.com, senior recruiters from Korn/Ferry, Russell Reynolds Associates and Taylor Haley Search Partners, as well as such noted career advisers as Larry Stybel, Peter Newfield and Debra Feldman. Topics covered will include trends in executive search and online recruiting; how to stand out above the crowd in today's market; designing, developing and executing a targeted search; and how to star in the first 100 days in your new job. The cost of the event is $197.
