SAN DIEGO (May 25, 2004)For many of the winners, and finalists, of the 2004 EPpy Awards Competition, there was a common element: They were powered by CareerCast, the Internetís leading developer of scaleable Web-based job board solutions.

Two of the top winners powered by CareerCast were CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journalís executive career site, which won for ìBest Internet Classified Service under 1 million monthly visitors,î and the job board on NYTimes.com, which won for ìBest Internet Classified Service over 1 million monthly visitors.î

In fact, CareerJournal.com and all the finalists in the category in which it won, including NWClassifieds.com of the Seattle Times and BostonWorks.com of the Boston Globe, are CareerCast partners. Other CareerCast partners who were finalists this year included SignonSanDiego.com of the San Diego Union Tribune, StLtoday.com of the Saint Louis Post-Dispatch and OnWisconsin.com of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

It further reinforces CareerCastís track record of delivering industry-leading technology while ensuring customer success.î

He continued: ìWe power classified categories for large and small sites, demonstrating that you donít have to be a large media company to reap the benefits of our platform and deploy the best recruitment classified practices.î

In its ninth year, the EPpy Awards honor the best Internet work by media companies, especially newspapers, television networks and affiliates, radio networks, syndicated shows, and local radio stations. Entries to the competition are reviewed and rated by a team of more than 50 distinguished judges from the media industry chosen by the management of Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek magazines.
