With recent high-profile studies by Demos* and The Association of Graduate Recruiters** spotlighting the growing gap between graduate and employer expectations of each other, BPP Professional Education today announced a ground-breaking training programme to help graduates prepare themselves for a successful transition to working life.
Endorsed by the ACCA, BPPís five day Intensive Graduate Business Training Programme has been designed to equip todayís graduates with the essential business skills that employers require. On successful completion of the programme, delegates will be awarded BPPís Certificate in Graduate Business Skills.
Delegates will spend days one and two participating in a business simulation game, to gain experience of business strategy and team-working, as well as a range of core functions from marketing and competition to business finance. Course days three to five concentrate on the development of practical skills from IT to public speaking, personal skills such as assertiveness and time management, and an understanding of professional conduct when working with colleagues and clients.
Si Hussain, Chief Executive of Professional Development at BPP Professional Education, commented, ìOur courses will combine workshops, role-play sessions, group discussions and presentations, all designed to make graduates fit-for-purpose when they enter the world of work. As a graduate, you will be better able to meet employersí expectations, whether you already have a position or whether you are looking for that all-important first job. As for companies, we have a number who are looking to send their graduates on the course, and some who are interested in sponsoring these programmes, in order to ensure their new recruits can prove themselves effective in the workplace from day one.î
The first programme will take place from 7 - 11 August, at BPPís Holborn office in London. For full course details or to discuss sponsorship opportunities, contact BPP Professional Education on 0845 226 2422.
