The section saw a 10% increase in total number of recruitment ads placed by Greater Boston’s employers over January 2003. It was the largest Big Help section since September 2001. With help-wanted advertising being a leading indicator of employment conditions in the market, it shows that Boston’s employers are beginning to increase their hiring.
Key increases were seen in sectors such as technology and finance, industries hit hard during the recent economic downturn.
