Following the successful launch of its HR Services division, Barnes Kavelle has strengthened its team by recruiting a leading chartered occupational psychologist to help clients improve the performance and welfare of their staff.
Clare Cook joins the human resources team from an occupational psychology consultancy in Manchester, having gained valuable experience working with clients such as Linde Material Handling, Bacardi and ASDA.
Clareís appointment marks the next stage in the development of Barnes Kavelleís HR Services division, which is offering expert guidance to help businesses manage their resource priorities through the tough economic times, from help with redundancy decisions through to getting the best return on their most important asset – their people.
Specialising in selection, assessment and employee well-being, Clare will now be focusing on advising businesses about the psychological impact of the downturn and the best ways to identify those most at risk of stress.
Clare said, ìEspecially with todayís gloomy outlook, a successful business is one that recognises how important it is to support, engage and motivate its team, and weíre here to help clients understand the best ways they can do that. Iím delighted to join Barnes Kavelle, particularly at a time when we can really help businesses compete more effectively and help drive their performance.î
Clare will be working with clients across the country, from start up organisations looking to implement a new recruitment process through to those seeking advice on competency frameworks.
Ruth Eden, Head of HR Services at Barnes Kavelle, said, ìI have been impressed with Clare from the very beginning as she has exactly the right balance of skill, knowledge and enthusiasm to offer businesses the very best advice. She has a fantastic reputation in her field and has a strong track record of delivering high quality consultancy and training.î
