Aurasma Christmas Cards Prove a Monster Hit

Aurasma, the world’s first physical and virtual browser, has teamed up with the UK’s leading online careers and recruitment provider, Monster and digital agency Firecracker to create the world’s first Aurasma-enabled Christmas card

Aurasma, the world’s first physical and virtual browser, has teamed up with the UK’s leading online careers and recruitment provider, Monster and digital agency Firecracker to create the world’s first Aurasma-enabled Christmas card.

Through Aurasma, the free app for smartphones and tablets, over 1.4m Monster customers will be able to watch their personalised message burst into life as an  interactive animated Christmas greeting.

Aurasma uses advanced image and pattern recognition to identify and understand images and objects in the real world, blending them with rich interactive content such as videos and animations called “Auras”.

In keeping with the festive spirit, viewers will be able to click through from the Aura to the Monster site where they can share their Christmas wishes with friends.

This collaboration between Aurasma and Monster marks the next chapter of the Christmas card, from its humble print to becoming the gateway to a new world of augmented information that pushes direct marketing into the future.
