Athona Recruitment, a specialist medical, education, health and nursing recruitment company based in Brentwood, Essex have organised a charity football match against leading recruitment software provider Microdec Plc.
The football match which will be held on Saturday 26th July at Brentwood Town F.C has been organised in aid of Athona’s chosen charity of the year, Little Havens, a local children’s hospice that provide respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to children and their families suffering with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Match organiser at Athona, said, “As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, Athona Recruitment is committed to raising vitally needed funds for Little Havens Children’s Hospice. The charity costs around £2.5million a year to provide unique and vital services entirely free of charge to all families in need of them.” He continued, “We set a goal to raise £10,000 by the end of July 2014 and have successfully managed to hit our target ahead of schedule with the support and help from our employees, their family and friends as well as the local community and businesses . To help continue to exceed our target, Microdec have kindly agreed to take part in our charity football match.”

Little Haven’s provide an invaluable service to families whose lives have been turned upside down by life-limiting illnesses.
