The Association of MBAs is holding an Accredited MBA Fair to strengthen its national and international ties with both students and accredited schools as demand for MBA accreditation continues to grow.
The Autumn Accredited MBA Fair brings the quality of graduate management education to the top of the agenda ñ for both schools and students. The Association currently accredits 91 business schools, 53 of these are outside the UK. Recent accreditations include: Aix-en-Provence (France), Dublin City University Business School (Ireland) and Miribis (Russia).
50 schools will be represented at the Accredited MBA Fair in London, at the Institute of Directors (IOD), on Monday October 25, courtesy of event sponsors Natwest and The Independent. The Fair brings together leading UK and international business schools with full accreditation status and potential MBA students.
ìThe Fair is an excellent vehicle by which potential MBA students can discuss their education and career interests with accredited business schools and learn about their needs at the same time!î comments Jeanette Purcell, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs.
The Accredited MBA Fair provides the perfect forum to kick-start the ìmilk-roundî process as around fifty top MBA schools, certified with the accreditation kite mark, from the UK and many more from Europe and the rest of the world, will all be promoting their courses under one roof to potential MBA students. Personal contact with delegates from the various schools will provide students with much more of an insight into their courses, placement opportunities and work ethic, than merely browsing on a website and reading a prospectus.
A comprehensive seminar programme includes advice on factors to consider when choosing a school, financing an MBA, taking the GMAT test and preparing a winning application. The sessions have been designed to help students address key issues faced by potential students today, such as the perceived value of an MBA and coping with a decreasing job market.
The session programs have been developed by a steering committee and in consultation with accredited business schools. Keynote speakers include:
David Wilson ñ Warwick Business School
Nicholas Collett, Manchester Business School
Richard Montauk, Degree of Difference
The Association enjoys partnerships with leading business schools in the UK and across national boundaries, providing outstanding opportunities via the bi-annual MBA Fair for candidates to research schools and make informed education and career choices, whilst offering business schools a highly targeted audience of the worldís best young professionals.
