Arthouse PR expands its ëecoí client base

Devon-based Arthouse PR is working hard to adopt environmentally sound policies and increase its portfolio of clients with genuine ethical and ëgreení credentials

Devon-based Arthouse PR is working hard to adopt environmentally sound policies and increase its portfolio of clients with genuine ethical and ëgreení credentials. Wanting to represent and promote like-minded businesses, Arthouse PR now supports a number of ëgreení clients and plans to further develop its business offering to ëecoí organisations.

One example of Arthouseís green portfolio is ecological building and renovating company, Devon Ecobuild (www.devonecobuild.co.uk), who signed up with Arthouse in the summer of 2007. Devon Ecobuild was launched in January by Richard Arnold, a self-taught joiner and builder with many years of experience in the construction industry. Previous work with ecological architects, Gale and Snowden, inspired Richard to alter his perception of building and materials and use his own enthusiasm and knowledge to create an ecological building and restoration company. Devon Ecobuild is committed to building projects which will minimise energy and water consumption, have effective eco-friendly insulation, have efficient heating/cooling systems, be built with minimum of waste (reduce, reuse and recycle), and use sustainable and local materials to reduce transportation. Arthouse PR feel that Devon Ecobuild is working for the good of the environment, raising awareness about the environmental crimes unknowingly committed by the building industry, and promoting the use of natural alternatives.

Sharon Finnigan Kilby of Arthouse PR comments ëAs both parents and business owners we try to run our business in a similar way to which we live. We adore disposable items and reuse, recycle and revamp where we can, and are trying hard to bring less paperwork into the office using email whenever possible. By adopting a greener working environment it also enriches the experience of those working there. Although we have a very long way to go before becoming totally green we are definitely making great improvements to our everyday working practices.í

Another environmentally switched on client is Cheekypumpkin, a nappy company which have designed and produced disposable nappies made from tree pulp, which degrade naturally. The business plans to launch its range of natural nappies and wipes in 2008. Arthouse PR has already created the brand identity and will be overseeing the product launch.

In addition to focussing on the ëgreení businesses, Arthouse would also welcome interest from charitable organisations as elements of their consultancy fees can often be grant funded.

The PR business was started 6 years ago by Sharon Finnigan Kilby and Gary Kilby who both have backgrounds in marketing and publicity. Since then the business has grown steadily and is currently working with clients throughout the UK and Italy. The Arthouse PR team specialise in offering creative marketing solutions to a variety of sectors, particularly the homes, interiors and eco industries. Services provided include public relations, press relations, publicity and event organisation, copywriting, branding and awareness building.

Arthouse PR will be attending the Business South West show this year on 18th and 19th October at Westpoint Arena, Exeter, at stand number 26.
