Angela Mortimer aims sky high

.

In an effort to tackle the UK skills shortage the Angela Mortimer Group has partnered with Silverjet, the award winning, exclusively business class airline and developed a pioneering incentive programme to attract high calibre candidates.

The recruitment company has launched an integrated national marketing campaign, ëHigh Flyersí, which offers participants the chance of winning a pair of tickets to fly across the Atlantic in style, between London and New York, with Silverjetís private jet style ëSilver-Classí service.

The ëHigh Flyersí programme is aimed at vastly increasing the number of registrations of high quality job seekers referred by candidates already registered with the group. Candidates who refer job seeking friends will go into a monthly draw to win two return tickets with Silverjet to New York, with each pair of tickets valued at 2000.

Ashley Williams, Director of Partnership Products at Angela Mortimer, said: ìEveryone knows that there is a supply and demand issue in the market. Research published last month by REC/KPMG revealed that 50 per cent of UK companies rate recruitment as their number one issue. They also reported that the availability of candidates for permanent jobs declined at the sharpest rate in two and half years.

ìOur own research, published in January in the Angela Mortimer ëblue book 2007í, revealed that 78 per cent of the 700 organisations who participated in our survey were struggling to attract the right candidates. Our findings also predicted that these difficulties would be compounded by anticipated increases in headcount targets.

ìSix months after the launch of the ëblue bookí, our predictions have proven to be spot on. The ability to attract high quality job seekers remains the holy grail for all recruiters and we feel that this scheme will help our clients gain a significant advantage in the market, but only if they continue to respond quickly. In most markets and at most job levels the best candidates are highly sought after, they receive multiple job offers and are often placed within 24 hours of registration.î

ëHigh Flyersí aims to invite referrals from the 10,000 individuals whom the Angela Mortimer Group expects to interview in the next few months, so the potential referred network is massive. The programme is the most technologically advanced initiative ever undertaken by the recruitment company. A bespoke online portal has been built to manage the entire programme, maintain quality levels and keep everyone informed on progress. The system is also programmed to randomly select a winner each month from the prize draw.

Ashley continued: ìHistorically, around half of all the candidates we interview are a result of referrals by candidates who we successfully place in jobs. This already is a testament to the quality of the candidate experience at Angela Mortimer, which we aim to boost even more. This is a big investment for the company, but in order to tackle the skills shortage, recruitment agencies have to take creative and even drastic measures to meet the growing demands of the market.

ìWe think this scheme will work in most of the markets throughout the UK, from secretarial and administration, to IT and marketing communications. To ensure the programmeís success, Angela Mortimer consultants will also be rewarded through the ëHigh Flyersí scheme. We are sure the allure of New York, the great exchange rate and the prospect of luxury business class travel will be an extremely attractive incentive.

ìThe Angela Mortimer Group is excited to be working with Silverjet on this initiative, as we feel their commitment to providing a high quality experience aligns well with our own approach to recruitment, which doesnít compromise on quality of service and delivery for our candidates and clients.î

Lawrence Hunt, Silverjet CEO commented: ìWe are delighted to team with Angela Mortimer on this forward-thinking initiative. The exposure of our brand to almost 30,000 aspiring, ambitious individuals, who are likely to register with Angela Mortimer through this scheme, are exactly the kind of people who will love flying ëSilver-Classí. We look forward to welcoming the winners and their friends onboard Silverjetî.
