The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has launched a new briefing paper, ëAssessment Centresí, to help members and other recruiters to fully understand how to make the most of this valuable recruitment tool.
Research last year found that nine out of ten employers felt assessment centres were a very or fairly effective means of recruiting staff to fill vacancies*, but often recruiters are unsure where to start, and what services are available to them.
The paper provides in depth information into what types of centre to use, what types of tests and simulation are available, how to evaluate the success of the assessment, and what future developments and emerging trends are predicted within the field. It was written specifically for the AGR by Helen Bradley, Sophie Pritchard and Amir Morshed of Assessment & Development Consultants Ltd, and can be downloaded from the ëPublicationsí page on the AGRís website www.agr.org.uk The paper is available free for AGR members, or at a cost of 20 for non-members.
The AGR is the recognised national voice for graduate recruitment, and in 2008 celebrates its 40th anniversary. Its members include organisations of all sizes and sectors, in both the public and private sector.
