The Adecco Group, the company in Human Resource services, together with Tarlo Lyons, a major City law firm, will host an exclusive breakfast seminar to help UK businesses understand the latest trends in labour outsourcing and employee legislation on the 9th May 2006 at The Savoy Hotel, London.
Whilst UK businesses continue to benefit from one of the most flexible employment markets in Europe, it cannot be ignored that complex legislation is steadily being introduced at a national and EU level that is creating additional responsibilities and pressures upon UK employers of contract and temporary workers.
The seminar aims to answer many of the questions such legislation has raised. It will provide senior HR and sourcing professionals with the opportunity for an in-depth briefing from expert legal counsel and senior Adecco personnel on new employment legislation as well as practical advice on how to mitigate risks and operate in a compliant outsourcing environment. The seminar will also provide UK businesses with the perfect opportunity to discuss best practices with their counterparts from a range of industry sectors.
Neil Jones, Adecco Group sales and marketing director said ìAs the UKís recruitment solutions provider we are committed to ensuring that our customers are kept abreast of changes in employment legislation and offered practical guidance on how to hire and manage contract and permanent staff in a legally compliant manner.î
Jones continued, ìThe seminar on May the 9th will enable UK businesses to share information on the latest legal trends and developments impacting the hiring and management of permanent employees and contract/temporary workers.î
Bridgette Wood, partner, employment and resourcing, Tarlo Lyons, who will be presenting on the day, commented, Recruitment and resourcing issues are notoriously complex. For example, the recent TUPE regulation can have wide ranging implications across business and it is important that HR and sourcing executives are made aware and, more importantly understand, the implications such legislation will have on their business.
The importance of such a seminar was highlighted by the recent ëHR Innovation Reportí, conducted by Adecco in August 2005 that found UK HR departments are increasingly concerned about the lack of resource available to cope with employee supply and management. A further 84 per cent of respondents cited ëresponding to new legislationí as a priority for the next 12 months.
The event will be taking place in the, Beaufort Room, The Savoy, The Strand, London WC2R 0EU. The seminar is free of charge and forms part of a series of executive level events that we will be running throughout 2006.
