ACI Specialty Benefits is conducting emergency counseling and training sessions for corporate employees who were impacted by the delays from the foiled terror plot

In an effort to minimize fears among business travelers, ACI Specialty Benefits, one of the nationís Top Ten Employee Assistance Programs, is conducting emergency counseling and training sessions for corporate employees who were impacted by the delays from the foiled terror plot. A corporate wide training session for more than 1500 employees was conducted on Friday, August 18th, 2006. This was the first of the corporate wide Critical Incident Stress Management sessions offered to ACIís clients nationwide. Human Resource executives who requested the sessions reports the foiled terror plot has set off traveling fears among many of their employees. Many concerned family members have requested their loved ones to abandon their travel duties. The heightened security alert and increased security measures have impacted business scheduling and slowed productivity in many companies.

ìThere were a lot of employees who couldnít fly out,î said Rod Lopez, ACIís Corporate Relations Manager, ìtheir families were worried and concerned for their safety.î

Vice President of ACI, Michael La Voy, MA, MFT, said many avid business travelers could re-experience traumatic feelings triggered by the terrorist plots, particularly those who were significantly impacted by 9-11. According to human resource executives, providing a qualified clinician to assist them with the concerns that their employees are facing in relation to the current terrorist development can help ease fears and restore productivity. As a leading EAP provider, ACI offers unlimited training/counseling sessions and Critical Incident Stress Management to corporations and their employees.
