A new term for Blair demands a new slogan from marketers

.

Renowned award-winning author Jonathan Gabay is offering free creative writing consultation and signed copies of his latest best-seller in an exclusive competition for copywriters.

The competition, supported by The Chartered Institutive of Marketing (CIM), offers the first prize winner the unique opportunity of a private morning workshop on copywriting with Gabay at CIMís International headquarters, Moor Hall in Berkshire, together with a signed copy of the highly acclaimed íGabayís Copywritersí Compendiumí. Second and third place finalists will also win signed copies of the book.

The competition requires entrants to create a hypothetical strap-line or slogan, which could be used by Labour throughout the governmentís new term in office. In addition, marketers are asked to nominate their favourite advertising slogan from the last ten years. The results will be short-listed by a panel of senior judges at CIM, with the outcome being announced later in May.

In support of the competition, David Thorp, CIMís Marketing Innovation Manager commented, We are pleased to support copywriters, in giving them the opportunity to benefit from Gabayís extensive knowledge, gained from a lifetime of professional experience.

In addition to explaining the fascinating background stories behind some of marketingís best loved slogans, Gabay offers copywriters the inside secrets needed to write in an engaging and inspirational style. In a recent review by CIMís Insights Team, Gabayís latest release is íinjected with humour and approachable styleí providing an invaluable resource for anyone with an interest in writing.

Entries will be accepted from Monday 9th May 2005 until Wednesday 1st June 2005.
