Totaljobs.com helps recruiters put their jobs on the map

Mapping service will help achieve an even more targeted approach to recruitment

Totaljobs.com, one of the UK’s leading recruitment websites, today launches its latest innovation which allows job search results appear on a map for jobseekers.

The tool, which adds to the site’s existing sector and region search, has been developed to allow a recruiter to have a job ad assigned to a unique pin on the map. This gives great visibility to jobs being advertised, especially to those that have been posted with a full UK postcode, making it stand out even more and attract even more relevant candidates.

Andy Weight, Product Director, Totaljobs.com comments: “We’re really proud of this app and believe it delivers a step change in the service we provide for both recruiters and jobseekers alike. This offering reiterates our commitment to providing recruiters with the best service in the industry. We have listened to what they are looking for and made significant improvements, for example, by partnering exclusively with Google maps to help drive the app, we can ensure a good functionality and speed for users.”

The totaljobs new mapping feature includes:

  • Location – the first 200 job search results are shown on a map which allows a jobseeker to see the most relevant jobs to them on a single page, giving job ads even more exposure. Those which are posted to a full postcode will have their own pin, standing out from the rest on the map.

  • Job Bubble – this feature allows a jobseeker to hover over a pin on the map to find out information about the job title, salary, the date the job was posted, the job type, and the company name & logo. This means that a jobseeker can quickly find out an overview of the job, making it even easier for job ads to be viewed.

  • View and add to job basket – Jobseekers can apply for a job directly from the job bubble, which helps recruiters get more applications from relevant candidates.

The new service not only provides recruiters with superior targeting for their job ads but also offers jobseekers with first-rate user experience
