The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that its Global Talent Delegation to India, operated in partnership with DNL Global of Dallas, Texas, is set to commence.

November 2 through 8, several of the world’s leading talent management experts, including Don Lowman and Samira Kaderali of Towers Perrin, Derrick Barton, CEO of the Center for Talent Retention, Jean-Christophe Deslarzes, SVP HR of Alcan; Peter Fasolo, VP Global Talent Management at JandJ; Cara Koppenhoeffer, Global Operations at Humana Inc; Jai Shekhawat, CEO Fieldglass and many others will visit New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai to participate in a series of global talent management related summits and roundtables.

The delegation starts in New Delhi at the National HRD Conference. Delegates will participate in India’s largest and most strategic HR conference, discussing the themes of change management and innovations in human capital management. On day two, the group is joined by sponsors Hewitt, Hexaware, TMI India, Wipro and the Boston Consulting Group in a full day summit on Virtual Global Talent Management.

In Hyderabad, the delegation will be hosted by the Indian School of Business and Microsoft. Over the course of two days, topics ranging from the future of India’s workforce to global talent acquisition, retention and engagement will be discussed with senior ISB faculty and top executives from Microsoft and the Hyderabad business community. From Hyderabad, the delegation travels to Mumbai where it will visit the EDS BPO call center to observe its operations and then assemble for a roundtable on the impact of talent in international mergers. The events conclude later that day at the world-renowned Indian Institute of Technology Bombay where the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management faculty will host a symposium to exchange best practices and innovation in talent management.

The support of organizations like Towers Perrin, EDS, Microsoft and others, as well as the hospitality offered by the NHRD, the ISB and the IIT-SOM will make this event a true once-in-a-lifetime experience for our delegates. We are set to embark on a learning, networking and relationship-building journey that will bring India and the West closer in their mutual understanding of global issues in talent management. said Allan Schweyer, HCI’s President and Executive Director.
