The Midlands is looking a great place to be right now

The latest house price index revealed by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show the Midlands as having the most positive price rates of change over the last 12 months, compared to the rest of the UK.

As well as it being a great place to live, it’s also offering a lot of opportunities when it comes to jobs and wages.      

The statistics on our site show an increase in both the East Midlands and West Midlands average advertised salaries over the past 12 months.

The East Midlands has seen an increase of 4%, from £29,336 to £30,570 and the West Midlands of 2%, from £31,113, to £32,024.

Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester within the region which are just some of the areas offering lots of vacancies.

In the last year, the trend shows an increase of 5% in average advertised salaries in Nottingham, from £31,398 to £33,102.

While there was an increase of 6% in Leicester, from £29,166 to £31,439 and an increase of 7% in Birmingham, from £33,523 to £35,630.
