Public sector demand for project management training is outstripping that from the corporate world, according to The Training Camp.

The Accelerated Learning pioneer has seen its best sales month ever in January 2007, with public sector customers such as the NHS and local authorities responsible for 18 per cent of all courses booked.

While Microsoft and security certifications remain the top selling courses for the company, public sector customers are selecting training to improve project management skills and drive efficiency, such as PRINCE2 and ITIL. The Training Camp's immersive courses for both these qualifications last a matter of days, meaning employees can start to implement their newly developed skills in the workplace in the shortest possible amount of time.

"The increase in demand for project management we've seen from the public sector is extremely encouraging," said Robert Chapman, CEO, The Training Camp. "Organisations are realising that process change needs to happen now to make services for the public more efficient."
