OTYS integrates Jumio's ID document authentication into its employee onboarding platform

Jumio, Inc., the fast growing credentials management company, today announced that recruitment technology specialist OTYS has implemented Jumio’s Netverify®, to quickly validate new employee ID documents as part of its clients’ employee on-boarding processes

Jumio, Inc., the fast growing credentials management company, today announced that recruitment technology specialist OTYS has implemented Jumio’s Netverify®, to quickly validate new employee ID documents as part of its clients’ employee on-boarding processes.

OTYS is one of Europe’s largest technology recruitment specialists with thousands of clients including recruitment agencies, HR departments and job boards.

OTYS’ candidate application management platform, Phoenix, now includes, the Netverify® solution, enabling OTYS’ clients to scan ID documents using an employee’s own mobile device camera or webcam. Jumio’s proprietary technology captures and authenticates the employee’s ID credential to determine that it is a bonafide and un-manipulated government-issued ID. Netverify® also extracts the ID data and places it in the on-boarding form which eliminates manual key entry and results in higher completion rates and greater user satisfaction.

This addition to the employee onboarding process helps comply with “right to work” immigration legislation. In addition, it replaces laborious manual upload and review of employee ID documents such as driving licences, passports and ID cards from more than 120 countries worldwide. As a result, OTYS are making the recruitment and onboarding process quicker and more efficient for their clients and for new employees.

“Jumio’s innovative approach to checking ID documents is being adopted right across a range of sectors of the economy. Employee ID document checking used to be a manual compliance process where an HR person would photocopy a new employee’s ID document and file it away with cursory attention.  In today’s digital world, Jumio’s Netverify delivers a robust document analysis to help make sure that new employees present legitimate ID documents that prove ‘right to work’ to comply with immigration legislation”, commented David Pope Director of Marketing EMEA at Jumio

Laura Zijlstra, Managing Director at OTYS added “This feature will really take the pressure off businesses meeting employment compliance requirements, – an example of a scenario we are faced with regularly is that a small recruiter in France would have no idea what a Polish passport looks like. Jumio now takes care of this challenge.  Jumio’s Netverify® performs the ID verification within seconds, cutting out the manual document checks usually required for a new hire”.
