Associate Trainers from Mind will guide attendees through the essential and practical aspects of how to empathetically manage mental health in a work environment, whilst raising awareness of issues regarding mental health and wellbeing.
The workshop will walk through the dynamics of mental wellbeing in a working environment, the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, the impact of specific mental health conditions on working practices, how to communicate to staff and how to help employees build mental resilience.
In addition, Search will also be partnering with acclaimed legal firms, DMH Stallard in Sussex and JMW Solicitors LLP in the North and Midlands, to provide comprehensive insight regarding the legal obligations of employers who may encounter a case of poor mental health in the workplace.
Employers will then have the opportunity to ask questions in relation to the modules, thus gaining further insight into how they can take steps towards building and maintaining mentally resilient workplaces.
Debbie Caswell, Search Managing Director for England, said: “With recent statistics suggesting that a significant proportion of employees will experience symptoms of poor mental health at some point in their careers, as an employer, we have a duty of care to help and support them.”
“Through our upcoming series of seminars we look forward to providing employers with the opportunity to raise their knowledge levels and gain confidence in supporting their employees who experience mental health problems.”
“It is our hope that attendees recognise the importance of appropriately managing mental health, not only for optimal performance and engagement within their organisations, but to consider and treat mental health in the same way as we do physical health, and challenge the stigma associated with it.”
