IntaPeople kick-starts ‘20 for 20’ charity drive with 'St David’s Day Dangle' for Teenage Cancer

Cardiff-based specialist recruitment company launches year-long charity campaign to mark 20 years in business

Cardiff-based specialist recruitment company launches year-long charity campaign to mark 20 years in business.

While many were enjoying festivities in traditional fashion, this St David’s Day saw a team of brave IntaPeople recruitment consultants abseiling 177-feet from Newport Transporter Bridge for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Forming part of Jeff Smith's Everest at Fifty challenge, which aims to raise 50,000 pounds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the ‘St David’s Day Dangle’ was also the first of 20 charitable activities being undertaken to mark 20 years in business for IntaPeople.

Phil Handley, Operations Director at the Cardiff-based IT recruitment specialist commented: “The whole team at IntaPeople is impressively committed to our ’20 for 20’ charity campaign this year.  Professional commitment and application is vital to what we do day-to-day, so we’re sure a number of great causes will benefit this year.”

Over the course of 2014 IntaPeople staff will take part in 20 events supporting four main charities: Kidney Wales, National Deaf Children’s Society, Ovarian Cancer and Ty Hafan.

After taking the ‘St David’s Day dangle’ abseiling event, the remaining 19 events will include getting messy in the Dirty Dozen 12k assault course, hiking across the 3 Peaks and cycling 38 miles through the Vale of Glamorgan.

“All of our selected charities are very close to our hearts,” said Handley.  “We can’t wait to start raising awareness and as much money as we can for them.”
