These days news travels fast, and with the ability of the Internet to communicate messages quickly it's probably no surprise that this job advert was submitted to online classified site friday-ad.co.uk last night.

When staff arrived this morning and checked the adverts that had been placed overnight they found one for a certain Premiership football club that yesterday parted company with its current manager.

The advert starts off with the request for 'TEMPORARY MANAGER sought for ambitious north east based company currently lacking vision' and then continues to state that the chosen candidate should 'be prepared to travel throughout the UK - European travel is not expected anytime soon'.

Rob Anderson, marketing manager for Friday-ad.co.uk said: "We get some bizarre adverts placed by our users for things they are selling, but this one certainly caught our eye.

"It's great to see how clever and inventive our users can be, and some quick-witted person has decided to help Newcastle United with their recruitment need!"

The advert can be currently viewed on www.friday-ad.co.uk by searching on 'Temporary Manager'.
