Award-winning insurance intermediary Kwik-Fit Financial Services, famous for its revolutionary employee-friendly initiatives, is already well underway with its latest journey designed to improve working life for its people.

Following the 'Making KFFS a Fantastic Place' initiative, launched back in 2004, the call centre has launched phase two of the project - 'Fantastic You'. This is an innovative scheme designed to build relationships, increase confidence and trust and promote stronger team working within each of the departments of the business.

Taking place in the 'retreat', a specially designed relaxation room within the Uddingston call centre, the project involves teams taking part in story telling workshops that encourage employees to share stories of positive experiences in their life.

"We are dedicated to continuing on our journey of improvement," says Keren Edwards, HR Director. "We are already delighted to be offering our people a very competitive package, from flexi-benefits to a chill out club, the new on-site nursery to a Costa Coffee franchise – all ideas that came from phase one of our project.

"As a company, Kwik-Fit Financial Services realises the importance of a happy workforce because without that we would not have happy customers. Phase two of our initiative really focuses on our people's wellbeing and happiness in the workplace and builds on the great foundations that already exist.

"'Fantastic You' allows employees to share experiences that have motivated or inspired them or shaped or changed their lives in some way. We have been amazed by the trust and enthusiasm that each of the participants have paid to the programme at this early stage – it's very encouraging."

Kwik-Fit Financial Services was awarded with the UK's most 'family friendly workplace' title in 2004 and has been awarded with the accolade of second best company to work for in Scotland for two years running (33rd in the UK). To top all of that, most employees would now recommend KFFS as a fantastic place to work, and many do, gaining 1,000 per successful referral.
