Badenoch and Clark, the professional services recruitment consultancy, has today announced a six-month advertising deal with JobTonic.com - the UK's only online job board to take advantage of web surfers' social networks, by offering cash incentives for referring their contacts into jobs.

The recruitment firm marks this as an innovative move to reach candidates dubbed as 'passive' job seekers by the industry. Angie Vocisano, of the firm's HR recruitment division, explains: "The quality of referred candidates is significantly higher than those that qualify themselves for application. The likelihood of a recommended candidate being placed is high, and as a result recruitment companies are willing to pay a premium in attracting professional referrals."
