David Hurst, CEO, Onrec.com

Onrec.com grew from a monthly newsletter to a well respected international magazine, online news portal, recruitment industry directory and global events business.  Onrec is established as the worlds leading resource for information, comment and opinion about the online recruitment industry, it’s trends, it’s key players and it’s future. As part of Onrec’s continuing mission to further discussion between HR, recruiters and the online recruitment industry, I have chaired conferences in Sydney, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, London, Dublin, Brussels, Sao Paulo, Istanbul, San Fransisco, New York and Chicago. I am a contributor to Hr.com, Classified Intelligence LLC and founded the Online Recruitment Marketing Council.  In 2006 I was appointed Director to the Board of the Digital Content Forum where I represented the ORMC and the interests of the UK online recruitment industry to UK government.


 


John Salt, Website Director, Totaljobs.com

John started out in recruitment advertising at The Guardian in the early 90’s, going on to work on their fledgling online classified sites and helping set up Jobs Unlimited in 1998. He joined Totaljobs Group in 2001, working on the re-launch of cwjobs.co.uk before launching retailchoice.com in 2004. John moved to head up totaljobs.com in 2006 overseeing the expansion across all UK regions, its international Network growth and the Graduate and Public Sector specific offerings. He joined the Totaljobs Group board in 2011 with commercial responsibility for the website and eCommerce.

 



 


Mike Fahey, Account Director, Madgex

Mike Fahey is responsible for running the Account Management function at Madgex, overseeing clients from a wide variety of industries and locations. Mike has worked for Madgex  or 8 years where his BSc/ MSc grounding enables him to support clients commercially and technically. Mike is currently concluding his MBA.

 

 

 

 

 


James Neave, Head of Data Science, Adzuna

James has spent over 10 years working in the field of data analytics and predictive modelling. He is currently leading the data science function at Adzuna, a rapidly growing job search engine with a presence in 11 countries and over 5m user visits per month.  Previously he has designed automated valuation models for property whilst at Rightmove and as Managing Director of CoreLogic Solutions. He also spent two years helping to set up Castle Trust, a new type of retail bank.  James has an MBA from Cambridge and an engineering degree from Oxford.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Kevin Barrow, Partner, Osborne Clarke

Kevin is a Partner in the advisory group at Osborne Clarke. He advises staffing companies on all types of legal work, including commercial deals and mergers and acquisitions. He works for hirers and suppliers on market-leading national and international flexible workforce (MSP, RPO and VMS) projects, regulation of digital recruitment and online exchanges, and worker misclassification and 'co-employment' class actions. With an unrivalled depth of knowledge in this market, Kevin acts for many suppliers and users of recruitment and staffing services, including many growth companies. Kevin qualified as a lawyer in 1990 and has specialised in the recruitment and staffing sectors ever since. He joined Osborne Clarke as a Partner in 2010. He has led a campaign to change the regulatory regime affecting online exchanges. He has led the roll-out of staffing/MSP deals in 40 countries in the last two years and been involved in half of the higher-value staffing and recruitment sector M&As in Europe since 2010.

 

 


Ben Hutt, Chief Executive, The Search Party

Ben Hutt is Chief Executive Officer of The Search Party where he is responsible for transforming the company into the leading global hiring platform. He has over 15 years of management consulting experience with top­tier firms including Macquarie Group and PwC Consulting. Ben is highly skilled at leading organizations as they tackle the challenges of today’s economic environment and he is passionate about helping businesses solve problems and improve productivity. Before becoming CEO, Ben was the Chief Financial & Operating Officer of The Search Party and oversaw high level strategy and operational efficiencies. He was promoted to CEO in July 2014. Prior to joining The Search Party, Ben spent 5 years at Macquarie Group, working in the Business Improvement & Strategy team and driving initiatives across the global business. These included key projects driven by responding to the Global Financial Crisis including building an international team focused on delivering improved cost efficiency across the company’s external spend. In 2006 Ben completed an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), after which he worked for Mainsheet Corporate, with principals from McKinsey, Mitchell Madison Group, Accenture, and Deloitte. Before that, he spent three years at PwC Consulting working for financial services and telecommunications clients in Europe, the UK and North America. Ben is married with three children and is an avid swimmer who swam solo across the English Channel in 2014. He is deeply involved in philanthropic pursuits and is an Ambassador for Opportunity International, an organisation that provides microfinance to the developing world. He is also an Advocate for The Hunger Project, an organization that aims to eradicate world hunger through grassroots community empowerment.


Lars Peter Svane, Co-Founder and Chief Executive, EuroJobsites Ltd.

Lars Peter Svane is the co-founder and Chief Executive of EuroJobsites Ltd., the company behind European niche jobsites like EuroEngineerJobs, EuroScienceJobs, EuroPharmaJobs and EuroEnergyJobs, as well as the "EuroBrussels" jobsite focused on Brussels lobbyists, lawyers, economists, policy- and communication experts. EuroJobsites helps companies recruit the right experts with the right skills, no matter where they are in Europe. Davor Miskulin, Business Development Manager, Burning Glass Technologies

Davor Miskulin has worked in a diverse range of industries (Recruitment Technology, Manufacturing, Merchant Banking and Humanitarian) across five continents and has so far lived in four countries. With more than 20 years’ experience in recruitment technology, he implemented e-recruitment strategy for an Agency in Australia in late 90's as well as spearheaded internationalization of advanced recruitment technologies for Burning Glass allowing him to have deep insight into industry both from supplier and user perspective. Davor holds Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as Master of Business IT and resides in Toronto, Canada.
