New product release for Software HR and Payroll 2003

Accsoft extend timesheet processing to Umbrella Companies

SPA, the recruitment agency system from Accsoft, will be demonstrating the latest version of software at Softworld HR and Payroll on 24/25 September at the NEC Birmingham.

The new version caters for the growing number of contractors who are creating tax efficient ëUmbrella Companies and also includes closer integration with the leading accounting system from Access Accounting ñ Access Dimensions, the ability to modify all forms such as invoices and payslips to suit company needs and the ability to hold up to 3 bank accounts in the non-UK payroll, as well as a number of other changes.

Tim Blackler, managing director at Accsoft comments, ìMore and more contractors are joining umbrella companies as a tax effective alternative to traditional limited companies due to IR35. By becoming an employee of the umbrella company tax laws are complicated but the management process is simplified, with SPA. SPA Umbrella Timesheets reduces the hassle factor of running a business, allowing contractors to concentrate on their day to day work.î

Astute accountants have realised that the cost benefit of using SPA greatly outweighs the labour cost associated with traditional methods of triple processing. This had contributed to the growth of Umbrella companies.

Tim Blackler concludes, ìAccsoft are committed to the continuous development of SPA to reflect the changes occurring in the UKís increasingly flexible labour-force. When recruitment agencies compare the cost of continual internal staffing costs to the cost efficiencies delivered by SPA timesheet processing return on investment can be as short as 2 months. These latest changes to SPA acknowledge the needs of employers, agencies and contractors and will continue the Accsoft philosophy of streamlining business processes.î
