Glassdoor launches in Germany

Company’s Second Non-English Site Extends Global Footprint

Glassdoor, the leading jobs and career marketplace, has officially launched in Germany with a new, localized website (http://www.glassdoor.de), and mobile apps on iOS and Android. This is Glassdoor’s second non-English offering and represents the sixth localized Glassdoor site overall.

The German platform provides local job seekers with more than 500,000 job listings and employee insights, including company reviews, ratings, and salary reports into 6,500 employers in Germany, including adidas,Siemens and Deutsche Bank.

“The value of Glassdoor for job seekers and employers is recognized around the world – we’ve already attracted members and content from more than 190 countries, including Germany. Localizing this information and being able to offer local jobs allows Glassdoor to become an even richer and more relevant experience,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO & co-founder. “Our mission is to help people everywhere find a job and company they love, and we plan to continue our global expansion with more local sites in 2015 and beyond.”

The German launch follows the October 2014 debut of a website and mobile apps for the French market. The company opened its first European office in London in April 2014 to support the company’s international expansion.

Unlike any other platform, Glassdoor is populated with anonymous employee-generated content paired with the latest job listings, providing valuable information and perspectives about what it’s really like to work at a company, shared by people who know the company best – its employees. Today, approximately 25 percent of Glassdoor’s traffic comes from outside the United States. Glassdoor currently employs approximately 350 people and is hiring across the United States and in Europe.

In addition to Glassdoor.com, the company website and mobile apps are now localized in GermanyFrance,UKCanadaAustralia and India.
