Bluestones Logistics Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary

Specialist recruitment company Bluestones Logistics Glasgow is celebrating its one-year anniversary throughout September.

The company based in Strathclyde Business Park supplies a range of logistics solutions to the transport industry, including permanent and temporary recruitment services from drivers to transport managers.

The company originated in Warrington in 2014 as part of a joint venture and due to its success and knowledge of the transport sector in Scotland, it expanded into Glasgow. It is headed by David Brigdale and Krista Flanagan and is part of the ever expanding Bluestones Logistics Group. During the first year of the business, Bluestones Logistics Glasgow has built up a portfolio of impressive clients and has secured hundreds of temporary drivers and many permanent staff roles within the transport industry.

Sales and Services Director, Krista Flanagan said “The first year has been an exciting time for Bluestones Logistics Glasgow. We’ve had fantastic support as a joint venture from Bluestones Logistics which has allowed us to concentrate on providing the best service possible to our clients.”

The transport industry is gearing for what could be its busiest year to date as transport companies plan for an earlier ecommerce Christmas rush http://www.bluestoneslogistics.co.uk/ecommerce-christmas-impacting-logis... Krista continues, “We’re expecting an extremely busy period for transport. All the indicators are point to one of the busiest Christmases ever. Luckily, over the last year we have secured a number of important clients and have built up an impressive database of candidates that we can regularly call upon.”

Bluestones Logistic CEO, Marian Butterworth said about the one-year anniversary “We are so pleased that Bluestones Logistics Glasgow is celebrating its one-year anniversary. By creating a joint venture with Krista and David we knew that we were investing in knowledgeable and experienced transport professionals and that has been illustrated over the last year in how quickly the Glasgow business has grown.”

Butterworth continued, “The success of the business can also be attributed to the dedicated team of consultants, Scott Harris, Karin McCasserty, Emma Parkinson and Kerry Graham.”

As Bluestones Glasgow pushes on into its second year it is hoping to grow and secure more clients further afield in Scotland. The country is seeing a growth in the transport with a resurgence in the oil and gas trade and a government sustainability initiative that could secure the future of North Sea fishing.
