Allthetopbananas: July UK Salary Map

Average advertised salaries appear to have fallen for the second month in a row, across the whole of the UK.

Looking at more than 1.3 million jobs on www.allthetopbananas.com  between June ’19 and July ’19, employers are offering less in ALL regions.

At the beginning of 2019, salaries had been rising steadily across the board, but from June salaries have been cooling off to the point where everything is less than just two months ago.

Comparing June ‘19 to July ‘19, shows Scotland has decreased the most, by £1,037, falling from £31,498 to £30,461.

Wales, the South East and the East Midlands have also seen decreases of more than £700.

London remains the highest salary in the UK with the lowest decrease this month of just over £350.

Abi Bradshaw, marketing executive at Allthetopbananas.com said: “The latest salaries reveal a trend across the UK we haven’t seen before.  While some regions have gone down slightly then bounced back with better months, this month shows less wherever you go. It will be interesting to see after the summer period whether this picks up going into autumn”.
