Omni RMS

Independent resource management specialist Omni Resource Management Solutions has been awarded the contract to manage Yahoo!ís UK recruitment.

Yahoo!, a leading global internet company, made the decision to outsource its UK recruitment to Omni and maximise the use of all available recruitment channels.

ìOur brief is to leverage Yahoo!ís brand in recruitment, improve the quality of candidates, while enhancing the service offered to Yahoo! hiring managers and delivering cost benefits,î says Omni managing director Robert Leggett. ìWith a large number of applicants for every vacancy, Yahoo! wants us to deliver a positive experience to everyone involved in the recruiting process.î

Omni has installed a full-time recruitment specialist at Yahoo!ís London-based offices, supported by a dedicated account management team. Access to tailor-made recruitment technology will enable Yahoo! to exploit the potential of online recruitment, including attracting and filtering online applicants, tracking progress on a hire and building a bespoke talent pool.

Commenting on the decision to outsource the companyís UK recruitment, Yahoo! UK & Ireland HR manager Gavin McGlyne says ìHaving reviewed our options, we came to the conclusion that outsourcing presented a logical and efficient way of accessing the human and technological resources required to cope with variable recruitment needs.î

ìThe fact that Omni is an independent broker means weíre not tethered to any particular recruitment channel and it is our brand that is always at the forefront of any recruitment activity,î explains McGlyne. ìWe now have a totally transparent recruitment pipeline, which gives us complete ownership of the process.î
