Xerox Europe deploys a pan-European recruitment management program with ActiveRecruiter

With a uniquely European distribution Model based on a network of exclusive channel partners known as concessionaires and accounting for 50 percent of revenues Xerox Europe wanted to help its channel partners optimise recruiting and sales force management. To assist its distributors and support their growth,Xerox implemented an e-recruitment program throughout Europe.This program based on ActiveRecruiter is up and running today in the entire European distribution network. The Jobpartners team deployed the project in five months and has given some 600 concessionaires access a fully self-service recruitment solution.

We receive an average of 100,000 applications to source 2000 openings.We wanted to bring a superior level of support to our operations in 15 countries in terms of HR strategy, recruitment management and employee loyalty. We also wanted to encourage our 4500 salespeople to develop a pan-European team spirit and loyalty to the Xerox brand, explained Sandrine Geffrouais-Guetin, Program Manager, European Concessionaire Operations.

The program has been operating since December 2002 and includes six Major functional areas:

- Communication to the job market
- Applicant sourcing
- Skills selection
- Team integration
- Skills development
- Employee loyalty

After reviewing several industry-based solutions, Xerox Europe Selected Jobpartners’ ActiveRecruiter. The solution gives recruiters and managers a unique work space to manage the entire recruitment process :

- A user-friendly, adaptabe and flexible solution;

Each Xerox concessionaire has self-service, Internet access to a European-wide portal dedicated exclusively to the recruitment process.The e-HR portal eXpress Yourself is the backbone of the ActiveRecruiter solution and divided into two parts. A recruiter and Xerox manager gateway is accessible internally on Xerox’s extranet with a set of specific codes and passwords. A job applicant gateway www.xeroxchanneljobs.com allows Xerox recruiters to post job offers online through different recruitment channels and media partners, receive applications and automate follow-up.
