Launched in November 2002, www.techjobscotland.com is an independent job board focussing on technology and IT vacancies within Scotland. The site retains an emphasis on rapid, high quality job searches and provides the job seeker with a targeted job hunting mechanism (specifying field and location).

Within Scotland the profile of the site is rising rapidly due to ongoing marketing and PR campaigns over the last one and a half years. Following a jobseeker questionnaire in late 2003 we established that the siteís primary strengths were simplicity and intuitiveness. techjobscotland is currently owned and managed by Clare de Mowbray, who also works as an independent trainer and consultant to SMEs. She is now looking to sell a part or the whole of the business to an interested party who could develop it further. The site was set up with personal savings and business loans and has now developed to the stage where additional investment is required for expansion. We believe that there is a requirement for a full time sales/business development team to focus on promoting and selling the advantages of this niche site.

We have built up a good reputation within the Scottish market but believe that the site needs to be backed by a market leader in order to heighten its dominance and reach its full potential, including development of the brand outside Scotland.
