Workthing boosts Peugeot Citronís online employer brand

.

Workthing, the UKís leading online recruitment services provider, owned by the Guardian Media Group, has built a new recuitment site for PSA Peugeot Citron designed to consolidate their corporate employer brand and lessen their dependence on recruitment agencies.

To date, the car manufacturerís recruitment has been fragmented across different group companies in the UK. The new website, www.psacareers.co.uk will boost candidate recognition of, and interaction with, all the UK companies in the PSA Peugeot Citron group. It also provides their recruiters with sophisticated tools to help sift and sort candidates, and allows PSA to build and share a database of candidates.

In addition to building the site, Workthing also devised and ran a series of sector-specific campaigns for PSA Peugeot Citron in both on and offline media for graduate engineers.

Commenting on the tight branding requirements for the site, Gillian Martin, Manager ñ Employee Resourcing for PSA Peugeot Citron explained: ìWe were very keen for candidates looking for vacancies in Citron to click and see only Citron-branded ads. If they click on Peugeot, we want them to see Peugeot-branded ads. Our branding spec was a problem for quite a few of the suppliers we saw when we first considered this system, but it wasnít a problem for Workthing.î

Matching the tight branding requirements are PSAís tight measurement requirements for the site ñ to include speed, cost reductions, process efficiencies and how much it strengthens their independence from recruitment agencies.

Workthingís Peoplebank technology which powers the site allows PSA Peugeot Citron to:

publish fully-branded vacancies to their own careers portal
filter candidates using tools which include psychometric screening services
manage applications
create a corporate ëtalent poolí shared and accessible by all PSA Peugeot Citron Group companies within the UK
track the status of individual applicants throughout the application process
accept ëform-freeí applications from experienced hires

Andy Baker, Managing Director of Workthing commented ìOur research shows few corporate sites deliver a recruitment experience which will impress potential candidates, though 78% of top companies claim to be in high competition for the best people and 89% say employer brand is an important issue. PSAís site is a superb example of executing a strong employer brand online and will help set it ahead of its rivals for talent.î
