Web Based Employers Survey

The Positive Futures Partnership have been funded by the London Development Agency (LDA); the mayors agency for business, to do an extensive survey of employers and employees, researching the barriers to employment faced by people living with HIV.

Over 42,000 people are estimated to be living with HIV in the UK alone and the majority of these are of working age. New treatments have improved the health of many people living with HIV to the extent that the only factors limiting their potential is stigma and discrimination. A survey in Canada suggested that over 50% of those diagnosed with HIV would not disclose their status to their employers and we want to find out what is happening in the UK today.

We are asking all employees or employers to take 10 minutes of their time to complete our on-line survey exploring the issues affecting people living with HIV. Your time in completing this survey will enable us to continue our work with employers to provide information on HIV focussed to the needs of business and to ensure people living with HIV can lead a fulfilling and productive working life without fear of discrimination.

Please feel free to forward this to your own contacts to enable us to get as broad a view as possible from this survey. There are no costs involved, but your time and all responses are anonymous - Donate your coffee break or part of your lunch break to make a difference to someone’s life - HIV is not just an issue for other people -it could affect all our lives.
