High-growth recruitment consultancy Uniting Ambition has this week been shortlisted in the 2015 Big Chip Awards. Competing in the “Best Digital Marketing Campaign” category, the business hopes to win with its creative “LinkedIn Recruiter Story” video.

Richard Turner, Brand Communications Manager at Uniting Ambition, explains: “This February, we launched an integrated LinkedIn HTML5 video campaign as part of a quirky internal recruitment drive. The video allows LinkedIn users to sign in and view their real career journey progressing in motion, but we then added our own unique twist.

“To encourage recruiters to make a career move into Uniting Ambition, we had some fun and used the video to offer a tongue-in-cheek preview of how great their career could be if they joined the company. From the way we used and manipulated the technology, we were able to build a bespoke approach which was personalised to the end user.”

Both nationally and globally, Uniting Ambition is the first recruitment company ever to integrate a personalised internal recruitment video with LinkedIn. Now, the inventive use of digital marketing has resulted in the placement in the prestigious 2015 Big Chip Awards shortlist.

“We’re delighted that our originality has paid off”, Richard continues. “It’s great to be in the running to win the Best Digital Marketing Campaign of 2015 and get some recognition for our work. We’re competing against some exceptional businesses who specialise in digital marketing, so for us as a recruitment company it’s a real achievement to get this far.

“We devised, developed and deployed the video entirely in-house, and it cost us next to nothing to produce whilst still pushing boundaries in the digital space. Since its launch, the campaign has received over 8000 organic views, garnered media attention in press across the UK and has resulted in 40 CV submissions to work for Uniting Ambition. All that we’re hoping for now is an award win!”
