Trainerbase opens its service to others

Amongst the exhibitors attending the CIPD’s Annual Learning, Training and Development Conference and exhibition at Olympia will be TrainerBase.
This West Wales based trainer locator website is actually opening its stand to their members to encourage their participation in the event.

TrainerBase is a well-established and comprehensive online resource where extensive information regarding trainers, venues and courses can be located. Formed in 2002 by Peter Mayes, the site has achieved rapid growth, with over 1000 members currently using the site, and a projected membership of over 3000 expected by the end of 2004.

With the facilities on the site constantly being updated, TrainerBase is looking to have listed, a trainer, venue or course for almost any are area of business practice. The facilities on TrainerBase allow companies to view the training services on offer and check course details that have been uploaded onto the site. The number of courses and trainers listed on TrainerBase is constantly being updated as the database’s membership continues to increase.

The benefits of using TrainerBase are extensive. The site is highly automated and is updated on a regular basis to ensure that details pertaining to any new trainer, resource or course are displayed immediately. The site also offers ease-of-use, which represents a challenge considering its rapidly increasing size. An additional key benefit is that the site is totally free should online users wish to view the range of services available - unlike many competitor sites, registration is not required in order for a full site viewing to commence.

All trainers listed on the site are subject to a ranking system, with active members being listed first. Training materials and other resources can also be uploaded to the site and used by other members and subscribers. The listed trainers also have the opportunity to sell their own resources through the site.

The HRD exhibition will feature over 300 stands from different a variety of companies across the training sector, with the latest products and resources available to help increase employee potential. Alongside the exhibition will be approximately 40 seminars designed to offer an insight into a range of training-related topics, from training and development strategies to designing learning interventions. TrainerBase aim to use the exhibition as a platform for increasing their exposure within the training sector as the premier online resource for trainer recruitment and training course provision.
