Three Companies and a Comedian ñ What Happened Next?

Leading exhibition specialists TJW Exhibitions joined forces with Bristol-based stand designers Clip and consultant Richard John managing director of RTA GB Ltd

Leading exhibition specialists TJW Exhibitions joined forces with Bristol-based stand designers Clip and consultant Richard John managing director of RTA GB Ltd to host a top quality exhibiting workshop offering advice to organisations looking to exhibit at forthcoming TJW events.

With a little help from comedian Jack Dee, attendees were treated to the new ëMaking a Standí video commissioned by the AEO. The video gives practical tips and advice on making the best of your stand by using innovative ideas and creativity to the max.

The new one-stop training workshop covered all current TJW exhibitions, including their Job Scene, Business 2 Business series plus a new outdoor leisure event, Urban Escapes. The workshop demonstrated to attendees innovative exhibition ideas on improving their presence and making an impact to all visitors.

The team from Clip, who have been at the forefront of the European exhibition and display business for over 20 years and offer total solutions from portable kits and graphics to large exhibition stands, were on hand to offer practical advice on making the most of your stand and creating that all important first impression.

Angelique Martin marketing executive at Clip stated: ìWe are delighted to be working alongside TJW to provide essential exhibitor training. The exhibitors who attended the workshop seemed to benefit greatly from the morning and left with a clear action plan in order to help them maximise results from the shows.î

All aspects of exhibiting were covered from pre-show marketing to designing a stand and each delegate left with an invaluable CD tailored to their specific event, which contained all the vital training material designed to ensure exhibitor success at TJW events.

The main speaker for the exhibitor workshop was Richard John official marketing trainer for the Association of Exhibition Organisers (AEO) in the UK. He commented: It was great to see so many people turn up and they really seemed to enjoy the relaxed yet interactive approach we take with the workshop.

It’s always rewarding for a presenter when delegates go to the trouble of seeking you out to thank you, and there was a lot of that from this session. It’s amazing how many companies just assume that their staff will know how to run an exhibition stand without any kind of training, and it was apparent that all the delegates really got a lot out of the morning. Because it was free, some were convinced there was a catch, so when they left with their packs full of notes and a specially-prepared CD to help them make the most of the exhibition, there was an extra element of delight.

Delegates were able to pose questions to all speakers and gained valuable advice from the question and answer session held by Richard at the end of the exhibitor workshop.

Bringing together three companies to share their expertise, experience, practical and useful advice for making each event a success, proved beneficial for all and produced smiles all round!

Karen Hemsley from Helm Care Services commented: ìExcellent advice and well presented. We will definitely be making a lot of changes and additions to our stand at Job Sceneî.

Andrew Coates managing director of TJW stated: ìDue to our expansion and the increased number of events we organise each year, we decided to develop a fresher format to our already established training workshops. As a company dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, we do our best to ensure all our clients are prepared for their organisationís big day at a TJW exhibition. With the help and expertise of two other exceptional leaders in the exhibition field, we are hoping that our new series of exhibitor training workshops will give our clients the enthusiasm and confidence to go fourth and do great things with their stands, but the proof will of course be in the pudding.î
