The SkillsIQ platform launch this August

Online recruitment solution removes the Agency middleman

August 2003 sees the launch of a promising new online e-recruitment Solution. The SkillsIQ platform has been developed exclusively for direct hiring managers and employers to address the recruiting challenges they face.

In a move to give companies the power to harness the Internet, SkillsIQ have embraced Microsoft''s .Net technologies to architecture and build an easy to use, online e-recruitment platform. By simply submitting a job description and the key skills required for a specific vacancy, SkillsIQ will then analyse the job description. Through utilising job board performance analysis technology, along with advanced multi - job board posting software, the vacancy is automatically posted on up to 60 appropriate job boards selected to attract the best quality candidates.

Mike Bansal, Technical Director of SkillsIQ Limited commented: Human capital is the most crucial factor to achieve corporate goals and remain competitive in this current climate. With the advent of the Internet it has never been easier to attract potential employees, but, have companies really reaped the benefits of this new Internet medium? Traditional agency placement fees have largely remained the same, so who is actually benefiting from this new media revolution?

The SkillsIQ platform enables a client to quickly create a specific pre-screening questionnaire and has a number of standard pre-screen templates within the system, either wizard or template driven. This functionality provides the client with more information at the point of candidate application and is in tandem with assessment results, enabling more accurate short listing decisions. Pass thresholds can be pre-set for screening and assessment results enabling hiring managers to react quickly to the strongest candidates first.

Candidates can search the job boards and by applying for a SkillsIQ vacancy they are automatically directed to The SkillsIQ Website or the employers integrated web site. Candidates complete the pre-screen and technical assessment confident in the knowledge that they have the opportunity to showcase their skills direct to the employer. Clients are then free to decide whether to invite the candidate for interview quickly or review the application again when all candidate results have been collated. In-built candidate management technology allows the client to e-mail or SMS the candidate additional information or interview requests. If the client rejects a candidate SkillsIQ will automatically send a System generated e-mail notifying them that they have not been successful on this occasion and thank them for their application. Rejected candidates will never know a company''s identity unless clients wish to declare at the outset.

Mike Bansal added: We have carefully developed an intuitive platform which is positioned to be the essential tool to assist with all companies'' online recruitment needs, no matter how big or small
