The search is on for ’motivator of the year’ 2004

The search is on to find the ’Motivator of the Year’ 2004 as part of the National Incentive & Motivation Week, which runs from 19 - 24 April 2004.

The Award will recognise an individual who is an outstanding achiever in a business, personal or charity capacity and will be announced at Incentive World 2004, the UK’s largest promotional marketing, incentive and motivation event also taking place during the week on 20, 21, 22 April 2004. The winner will be presented with the Award and a cheque for 500 from Incentive World 2004/Reed Exhibitions for the charity of their choice.

Martin Johnson: England Rugby Team Captain

John Caudwell: CEO of mobile phones retailer Phones 4U

Sir Ranulph Fiennes: Explorer who recently completed seven marathons in seven days to raise money for charity - after major heart surgery

Pierre Omidyar: Founder and Chairman of the Board of eBay

Paul Walsh: CEO, Diageo

Keith Mills: Chairman of Loyalty Management, the company behind the groundbreaking Nectar reward programme.

Barbara Cassani: CEO of Go Fly Ltd until July 2002, now Chair of London’s 2012 Olympic bid.

Paula Radcliffe: World record holder for the Marathon

Last year’s winner Sly Bailey, CEO of Trinity Mirror was presented with the Award in front of national press photographers, exhibitors and visitors at Incentive World 2003.

National Incentive & Motivation Week has been created to recognise the importance of encouragement, motivation and building commitment within our personal and working lives. It also aims to continue to increase the profile of incentives, promotions and motivation and highlight the benefits that a successfully targeted promotional marketing campaign can have to UK businesses.

Also during the week, The Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) Promotional Marketing Awards’ Winners will be announced on 22 April at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton Metropole. The ISP Awards recognise the best promotional marketing campaigns in Britain in the past year, many of which go on to achieve further recognition at European and international level.
