The Guardian Relaunches Jobs Site

.

The Guardian will relaunch its jobs site in April 2004. Guardian Jobs at Guardian.co.uk/jobs has been comprehensively re-designed. It is quick and easy to use with clear navigation, a new sophisticated search facility and specially commissioned editorial on jobs and careers. It contains an online application facility and a new íjobmatchí service, which will provide advertisers with a precisely targeted, quality response.

Stuart Taylor, Advertisment Director of Guardian Newspapers Ltd, said: The Guardian is the number one recruitment brand with more jobs than any other paper. This new site complements the success of the newspaper and enhances our recruitment offering giving more choice to both advertisers and job seekers.

It will enable advertisers to achieve a high quality response, target a fresh audience and simplify the recruitment process by taking advantage of bespoke services closely matched to their needs. While jobseekers can take advantage of an easy to use site with in-depth editorial advice and a wide range of career opportunities.

This enhanced functionality is the first in a series of steps we are taking to provide an improved online jobs service. The site will evolve and continue to develop with a stream of new services over the next year.
Guardian.co.uk/jobs categorises vacancies into a number of professions including media, marketing and PR, education, government, secretarial and health and social care. Featuring state of the art search engine technology, users are brought directly to relevant jobs. The newly designed site was consumer-tested to ensure its ease of use and advertisers can take advantage of an online user guide.

The relaunched site will be supported by an extensive trade and consumer marketing campaign both on and off line.

Guardian Jobs was built by Kitsite and will be managed by Guardian Newspapers Ltd.
