Software for people payroll accredited by the Inland revenue

First Pan-National Payroll to Achieve UK Inland Revenue Accreditation

The Inland Revenue has accredited Software for Peopleís World Service Payroll following an extensive assessment programme. Software for People is now one of only a small number of suppliers in the UK to have its software formally accredited.

Peter Samways, managing director at Software for People explained, The assessment programme required the software to be subjected to thousands of separate tests, the results having to be accurate to the penny. The payrollís ability to submit end of year returns electronically was also extensively tested. As a company we were also visited and assessed on our quality control and customer support processes. I am delighted that we have achieved the exacting standards demanded by the Inland Revenueî.

The accreditation process was designed by the Inland Revenue to ensure that buyers of payroll software could be confident that the product accurately performs the increasingly complex pay calculations. The resulting Payroll Standard also reflects a productís ability to communicate electronically with the Inland Revenue, an increasingly important objective as the timetable for mandatory electronic submission of end of year payroll returns has been published.

ìProtecting an organisationís investment in human capital and coping with increasing statutory demands means installing flexible software systems that truly meet the customerís needsì, continued Peter Samways. ìBoth public and private sector organisations are turning to Software for People as we can demonstrate that the integrated World Service HR and Payroll solution is flexible enough to match their business needs whilst conforming fully to legislative requirementsî.
